Shrewsbury, MA (April 25, 2014) – BLESSID LLC announced today that the independent feature film BLESSID, a poignant indie drama about a pregnant woman with a cursed past who forms a bond with a man who is immortal, has released an official trailer and is seeking funding for its film festival efforts through Kickstarter.
Says writer/producer Robert Heske, “We are extremely proud of this film, and, as a suicide-prevention film with a theme of self-forgiveness, we feel our “indie film that could” will resonate with people from all walks of life. While it was made for under $150,000, it looks like a million bucks! This film is done – in the can. We just need help to get it out to the world to pay for PR, marketing, film festival submissions, and distribution deliverables’ expenses.”
Starring in the film are Rachel Kerbs (“Splinter”), Rick Montgomery Jr. (“Chill,” “Aimy in a Cage”), Gene Silvers (“Law & Order” franchise, “The Whole Banana”), and Chris DiVecchio (“Wolf Moon,” “Ghost Whisperer”). Award-winning composer Federico Chávez-Blanco (“From Zimbabwe to Santa Fe”) is on-board to create an original score for the film.
To bring the film to life, Heske brought on New England-based makeup artist and horror effects savant Rob Fitz who also wrote, directed and produced “God of Vampires” – an Asian vampire horror/action independent film.
Fitz is a veteran of the film industry having worked on Boston-based features such as “The Perfect Storm,” “The Fighter” and, most recently, “American Hustle.” “I like films that keep me guessing and that don’t disappoint at the end. When I read BLESSID, I knew in my mind how I was going to make it and was thrilled to be given the opportunity to execute on my vision,” Fitz says.
BLESSID was shot in Massachusetts on the Red EPIC camera.
